Group visit

Went visiting with my 'classmates' last night in Elluminate - I had my first hosting experience, showing everyone the wiki and assessment task that Joanne, David and I have developed for FLE.
At the risk of being boring - I think Elluminate is a great medium, making on-line learning more personalised and adding a voice to the presence on the 'other end'. Also had a look at the tasks developed by others in the group - looks like there's some fun learning ahead. One thing we picked-up on, was the necessity for the host to unplug their headphones so other participants can hear any audio that's associated with the site being visited - when this was done during Liang's hosting session, we were able to hear Andrew's lively rendition of 'Where the Wild Things Are'.
The session topic was Wikis and Tikis - we saw wikis last night, but I still think that a tiki is a Maori idol?? Anyone have any info to enlighten me?
